Description
The rear glass is the glass panel that protects the back of the phone. It covers the internal components and fits onto the chassis. When it is cracked or shattered, dust and moisture can get inside, and the edges can cut your hand. This compatible OnePlus 8 part lets you replace the damaged back panel so your phone looks clean and intact again.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows. Use a plastic opening tool so you do not scratch the chassis, and gently warm the edges with a hot air gun on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive. Avoid excessive heat, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, check that the glass is well aligned, that no gap is visible and that the side buttons respond correctly. Also remember to discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
