Description
The rear glass is the glass panel that protects the back of the phone, above the internal components beneath it. When it is cracked, scratched or broken, it can cut your hand, let dust and moisture in, and spoil the look of the device. This part, compatible with the Pixel 6, lets you replace the damaged glass to get back a clean, protected back.
Fitting it takes method. Prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with a suction cup, a plastic opening tool and small containers to store the screws. Warm the edge gently with a hair dryer on a low setting to soften the adhesive, and never go beyond moderate heat. Disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables, and protect your components from static electricity by working on an antistatic surface where possible.
After fitting, check that the glass is firmly attached, that no gap is visible and that the edges are aligned. Test the sensors and wireless charging before closing the device for good. If the battery is swollen or damaged, stop using it and never puncture or bend it.
