The rear glass is the glass panel that covers the back of the smartphone. It protects the internal components and lets the design of the device show through. When it is cracked, shattered or scratched, it can cut your hand, let in dust and moisture, and spoil the look of the phone.

Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows it. Heat gently and without overdoing it, so that neighbouring components are not damaged. During assembly, avoid static electricity by working on a clean surface without a carpet. After fitting, check the alignment, the absence of play and the grip of the double-sided tape before switching the device back on.
