Description
The rear glass is the glass panel that protects the back of the phone and lets light through to the camera sensor. On the Redmi Note 8, it can crack after a fall or knock, and damaged glass can also be sharp or let in dust and moisture. This compatible rear glass is used to replace the current part when it is broken or deeply scratched.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Gently warm the edges with a hair dryer on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, never overheating it. Work in a clean, well-lit area and earth yourself to limit static electricity that could damage components. Never try to puncture or bend a lithium battery; if it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, check that the glass sits flush, with no play or bubbles, and that the buttons and flash work. If the battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charge cycles for good calibration.
