Description
The front glass is the glass surface that protects the screen of your Galaxy S8 Plus and lets the touch input through. When it is cracked or shattered, touch can become inaccurate, and splinters can cut your fingers. This compatible glass replaces the current part to get your phone back into working order.
Before you start, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, with tools suited to small screws and a tray to store them. Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work on the ribbon cables. Warm the edges gently with a hot air gun at moderate heat to loosen the glass, never exceeding a reasonable temperature. Handle the components carefully and discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object.
After reassembly, check touch across the whole surface, brightness, the response of the buttons and the seal. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent; if it is swollen, do not try to use it.
