Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit and uncluttered workspace. Use a suitable tool kit, suction cups and tweezers. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. Avoid excessive heat and protect the components from static electricity.
After fitting, check the brightness, colours, touch response across the whole surface and the operation of the front face. Also check the proximity sensor during a call. If the previous part had faults, compare the result before considering the repair finished.
