The iPhone 15 rear camera flex cable is a small flexible circuit that connects the rear camera module to your device's motherboard. It carries images and control signals between the camera and the rest of the phone. When it is damaged, the device may show a black, blurred or distorted image, or the camera app may stop launching altogether.

Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface while avoiding static electricity. Use suitable tools so you do not bend or tear the cable, and remove the current part carefully.
After fitting, replace the screws and cover in the same order, then switch the device back on and test the rear camera for photo and video under different lighting. Check the flash and focus too. If the battery has been handled, run a few full charge cycles to stabilise its performance.
