Description
The U2700 power supply IC is an integrated circuit that manages the distribution of electrical power inside the device. On a iPhone X, it regulates the voltage sent to the various components of the motherboard and takes part in charging the battery. When it is faulty, you may notice a device that no longer switches on, switches off at random, overheats abnormally or whose charging gets stuck.
The part offered is a compatible chip made by a third party. It matches the U2700 reference shown in the title, but it should not be regarded as an identical part to the original component. Before any work, switch the device off, unplug the charger and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, and handle the board by its edges.
Once the replacement is done, check that the device starts correctly and that charging works. It is advisable to carry out a few complete charge and discharge cycles, then monitor the temperature during use. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not puncture it.
