Description
This power IC, reference U5900, is an electronic component for the motherboard of the iPhone X device. It helps regulate the voltage sent to the various circuits on the board and manage charging. When it fails, you may notice symptoms such as a device that no longer switches on, charging that does not work properly, or intermittent start-up.
This part is a compatible version, made by a different manufacturer from the current part. It is intended for component-level repair that requires precision. Before you start, prepare a suitable soldering station, a hot-air station, flux and good lighting. Work on an anti-static surface and wear an earthing wrist strap to protect the circuits.
After replacement, check the voltage with a multimeter before powering the device back on. Make sure there is no short circuit between neighbouring tracks and that no solder has spilled over. If you are not confident soldering components of this size, it is best to leave the job alone.

- Do not heat the board for too long to avoid damaging the tracks
- A swollen or damaged battery must no longer be used
