Description
The charging IC is a small integrated circuit located on the motherboard of your Galaxy S20 FE. It manages the incoming current from the charging connector and regulates the voltage sent to the battery. When it fails, the device may no longer charge, charge very slowly or switch off suddenly even though the battery is not empty.

Before disassembly, switch off the device, unplug the charger and work on a clean, static-free surface. Do not drill or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. Then connect the charger and let the device complete several full charge cycles to check the stability of the system.
