Description
The charging IC is a small electronic circuit that manages the power supply to the battery when you connect your Galaxy S20 FE to a power source. It regulates voltage and current to charge the battery safely. When it is faulty, the device may no longer charge, charge very slowly, or only switch on while the cable is plugged in. This compatible part lets you replace the faulty component without changing the entire board.
Before you start, switch off the Galaxy S20 FE completely, unplug the charger and remove the battery if the model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static wrist strap or by touching a metal ground regularly. Avoid overheating the board: moderate heat is enough. Use a suitable soldering iron and soldering station, and check reference MIS0A before any fitting.
Once the chip is fitted, carefully check the solder joints with a magnifier and a multimeter to spot any short circuit. Reassemble the device, then run a few complete charge and discharge cycles to let the battery stabilise. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture or bend it.
