Description
The charging IC iPhone 12 Pro (ref. 1614A1) is an electronic component that manages the power supply when you plug in your device. It regulates the voltage and current sent to the battery, which allows correct charging and helps protect the battery against overcharging. This part is compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro model. It is a compatible part, offered as an economical solution to replace a faulty charging IC.
A failure of this IC often shows up as a device that no longer charges, charges very slowly, overheats abnormally while charging, or no longer detects the cable. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect any power source and work on a clean, dry surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch a metal ground to avoid electrostatic discharge. A swollen battery must never be used; do not puncture or bend the lithium battery, and disconnect it before handling the flex cables. Note the position of the current part before removing it.
After fitting, check that the connectors are correctly seated and that there is no residue. Reconnect the device to a quality charger and monitor the temperature: it should remain moderate. Carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to let the system return to stable operation, then check that charging is properly detected.
