Description
The charging IC is a small electronic component located on the motherboard of your iPhone 16 Plus. It manages the incoming current from the socket and regulates battery charging. When it fails, the device may stop charging, charge very slowly or show intermittent charging, depending on the connector attached to it.
Reference CP3200B1 is a compatible part made by a third party. It takes over the function of the current component for the iPhone 16 Plus model, but small differences in behaviour may remain. Before any disassembly, switch the device off, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static surface. Protect yourself against static electricity and avoid excessive heat during desoldering.
After fitting, check that the device starts properly and that charging runs without interruption. For a battery, carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles to let the system adapt. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using a swollen battery.
