Description
The Low Frequency Signal Switch K80 IC chip is a small integrated circuit intended for the motherboard of the iPhone 13 mini device. It is one of the components that handle low frequency signals and the routing of certain internal signals. When the chip is faulty, malfunctions related to these signals may appear, depending on the chip's position on the board. This reference is a compatible part made by a third party: it is not original, but it allows you to replace the faulty component at a lower cost.
Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery, as a component of this type is sensitive to static electricity. Use a suitable desoldering station, a hot air station at a moderate temperature and anti-static tweezers. Avoid heating the neighbouring tracks for too long so they do not lift. A stereo microscope makes positioning the chip much easier.
After fitting, carefully check for any short circuit between the pins and test the device before closing it up. If the board raises any doubt or the battery is swollen, do not use it. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent.
