Description
This IC chip, reference 338S00762, is an integrated circuit that manages part of the camera function of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It is part of the image processing chain and handles communication between the camera module and the device's motherboard. When it fails, the camera may show a black screen, distorted images, inconsistent colours or fail to start at all.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is not original, which means its operation should be checked carefully after replacement. Before any work, switch off your device completely, disconnect the battery where possible and work on a clean, anti-static surface. Use a suitable tool and moderate heat for desoldering, without forcing anything.
After reassembly, power the device back on and test the front and rear cameras in several modes, under varied lighting. Also check that the other image-related functions work correctly. If in doubt or if the behaviour is abnormal, stop using the device to avoid making the fault worse.
