Description
This IC chip, also called an integrated circuit, is a power management component for the iPhone 15 model. It is used to boost and stabilise the voltage supplied to the various circuits of the device. When it is faulty, you may notice a lack of power, a device that no longer starts, sudden shutdowns or unstable behaviour while charging. It is a compatible part, made by a manufacturer other than the original one, offered as an economical alternative for replacing the current part.
Before any work, switch off the device, unplug the charger and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat or an earthing wrist strap, to protect the chip from electrostatic discharge. A hot-air soldering station or a soldering iron at a moderate temperature is enough, taking care not to overheat the neighbouring tracks.
After fitting, carefully check with a magnifier that there is no short circuit and no excess solder. At first power-up, watch how hot the board gets. For a lithium battery, then carry out a few full charge cycles to check that the power supply works correctly.

- Use moderate heat to avoid damaging the neighbouring tracks
- Check for short circuits and excess solder after fitting
- Never pierce or bend a lithium battery; if it is swollen, stop using it
