Description
This iPhone 16 IC chip is an EEPROM memory integrated circuit, designed to store configuration and charging data. It is supplied pre-programmed, which means the information needed for operation is already written when you receive it. It is intended to replace a faulty chip on the board of the compatible iPhone 16 device, in particular when charging no longer starts, the device does not recognise its battery, or the system refuses to boot because of a memory-related error.
Before any work, switch off the power, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static surface. An anti-static wrist strap reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge, which can destroy such a fine component. Use a hot-air station or a suitable soldering iron set to a moderate temperature, and avoid overheating the board around the chip. Check the orientation of the component and the alignment of the pins carefully before fixing it.
After replacement, visually inspect the solder joints for bridges between the tracks, then reconnect the battery and test charging and start-up. If the battery is swollen, do not use it, and do not puncture or bend it.

- Heat at a moderate temperature so you do not damage the board

- Visually inspect the solder joints before powering the device back on
