Description
This IC chip, also called an integrated circuit, is a flash memory linked to the camera module of iPhone 16. It stores the data needed for the camera to operate, notably the image processing parameters and certain configuration information. When it fails, the camera may no longer start, show a black screen, display an error or stop saving photos and videos correctly.
This is a compatible part, made by a third-party manufacturer, designed to repair your device at a lower cost. Before any replacement, switch off the power, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, flat surface. Protect the chip from static electricity with an anti-static wrist strap and avoid touching the pins directly. Moderate heat is enough for desoldering: excessive heat can damage the neighbouring components.
After fitting, check that the chip is firmly seated and that there is no short circuit before powering the device back on. Then test the front and rear cameras, the focus and video recording. If the device has a swollen battery, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
