This IC chip, also called an integrated circuit, is an electronic component found on the motherboard of some devices. It handles one specific function of the board, depending on its design. For the iPhone 16 Plus model, it may be involved when a fault linked to this function appears, for example an irregular power supply or abnormal behaviour of some components. Diagnosis remains tricky, as a faulty chip can look like other board defects.
