Description
The U2101 IC chip is an integrated circuit that manages battery charging through the USB port of iPhone 7 Plus. It controls the current and voltage sent to the battery when the device is plugged into a power source. A fault in this chip can result in a device that no longer charges, charges irregularly, or overheats when connected. This part is a compatible version, made by a third-party manufacturer, designed to replace the current component.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible, as integrated circuits are sensitive to static electricity. Check carefully the orientation of the chip and the quality of the soldering or desoldering, keeping the temperature moderate.
