Description
This iPhone 8 Plus IC chip is an integrated circuit that manages charging of the device when you plug in the USB cable. It regulates the current and voltage sent to the battery and handles communication between the charging port and the rest of the board. Without it, the phone may stop charging, charge very slowly or show a USB connection message that goes nowhere.
The most common charging faults come from this component: the device refuses to charge despite a good cable, abnormal heating at the port, or charging that cuts in and out depending on the cable position. This compatible part, reference U3300, is intended for private repairs where you want to replace only the charging circuit on your iPhone 8 Plus.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery where the board allows it. Work on a clean surface with antistatic tweezers to limit electrostatic discharge. Never force the fragile pins and do not heat the board more than necessary. After fitting, test charging with several cables and check that no area heats up abnormally.
