Before fitting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, dry surface. Handle the chip carefully and use an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic discharges, which can damage components.
Once the device is reassembled, check Wi-Fi and Bluetooth operation by testing a connection to a network and to an accessory. If the connection remains unstable, check the neighbouring ribbon cables and connectors before drawing any conclusion. Once the repair is confirmed, reset the device's network settings to start again on a clean basis.
