Description
This IC chip, a compatible integrated circuit, is an electronic component intended for the motherboard of the iPhone 12 mini device. It helps manage the power supply of the screen backlight, working together with coils of the Backlight Coil type. When it fails, the screen may stay dark, show weak brightness or flicker, although the display is sometimes still visible from certain angles. This part is a compatible component made by a third party, and the current part can be identified before any replacement.
Before working on your iPhone 12 mini, switch the device off, disconnect the battery and work on a clean, anti-static workbench. Use a soldering station at a moderate temperature and a suitable flux, so as not to damage the neighbouring tracks on the board. Check the orientation of the chip carefully before placing it, as an incorrect position can burn out the component.
Once the fitting is complete, inspect the board under a magnifier for any solder bridges, then reconnect the battery and test the backlight with a variety of content. If the device overheats or a burning smell appears, cut the power immediately.
