Description
This IC chip, reference U4400, is an integrated circuit controlling wireless charging, fitted on the board of iPhone 12 mini. It manages the inductive reception of power and the regulation of the current sent to the battery during wireless charging. When it is faulty, the phone may no longer charge wirelessly, show intermittent charging or fail to recognise the charger placed on the stand.
This part is a compatible version made by a third party, not an original part. Before any replacement, disconnect the device and the battery, as the circuits are sensitive to static electricity: work on a clean surface and use an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Do not overheat the board when desoldering and check that no tracks are damaged. After fitting, test wired charging then wireless charging, and let the device go through several full charge cycles to check the stability of operation.

- A swollen battery must no longer be used
