Description
This camera IC chip, also called an integrated circuit, is an electronic component that handles part of the camera operation of the iPhone 12 mini. It drives and processes the signals sent by the photo module. When it is faulty, you may notice a camera that no longer activates, a black, frozen or distorted image, or an error message in the camera app.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It is not an original part, which may affect some behaviours. Before you begin, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace and use anti-static tools to avoid electrostatic discharge on the components. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and follow the connection markings.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the front and rear cameras in several modes, with and without flash. Monitor the heat of the device during the first few minutes. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device and never puncture or bend the battery.

- Work on a clean surface, wearing an anti-static wrist strap
- Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Test the front and rear cameras after fitting
- Monitor the heat of the device during the first few minutes
