What stays the same

New or refurbished, every device sold on the website comes with the 12-month DR Phone commercial warranty, in addition to the legal warranties, and is delivered with an invoice.

In both cases, delivery is tracked and returns are possible within 30 days of receipt.

A new phone

New phones are sold in their sealed box, with an invoice. The battery is the manufacturer's original one.

It is the right choice if you want a device that has never been used, or if the model you want is not currently offered refurbished.

A refurbished phone

A refurbished phone has already been used. At DR Phone, it is checked by our technicians: screen, touch, buttons, charging, network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cameras, microphone, speakers, as well as Face ID or Touch ID and iCloud unlocking for iPhones.

Its cosmetic condition is clearly stated: Premium (close-to-new appearance), Excellent (micro-marks possible), Very good (light marks, no cracks) or Fair (scratches or small dents possible, no structural cracks).

The battery is checked before preparation and guaranteed at a minimum of 80% of its original capacity; a new battery can be offered as an option on certain models (not offered in Premium condition).

The price

The table on this page compares, for the same model and storage, our lowest refurbished price and our lowest new price right now. For a refurbished model, the price also varies with the grade you choose.

The environment

Choosing a refurbished phone means using a device that already exists rather than a newly manufactured one: its period of use is extended.

Think about your old phone too: rather than leaving it in a drawer, you can get an online buyback estimate.

So, which should you choose?

Choose new if you want a sealed device that has never been used. Choose refurbished if a workshop-checked device, with a stated cosmetic grade and the same 12-month commercial warranty, suits you: then compare prices in the table on this page.

Frequently asked questions

Is a refurbished phone covered like a new one at DR Phone?

Yes: the 12-month DR Phone commercial warranty applies to new and refurbished devices alike, in addition to the legal warranties. It does not cover damage caused by a fall, an impact, oxidation, breakage or misuse.

What does DR Phone check on a refurbished phone?

Before preparation, DR Phone checks in particular the screen, touch, buttons, charging, network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cameras, microphone, speakers, Face ID or Touch ID depending on the model, and iCloud unlocking.

Is the battery of a refurbished phone new?

Not necessarily. The battery is checked before preparation and guaranteed at a minimum of 80% of its original capacity. On certain refurbished models, a new battery can be added as an option when it is available for the chosen variant (not offered in Premium condition).

Can I return my phone, new or refurbished?

Yes. You have 30 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal, without giving a reason (except legal exceptions). Return costs are your responsibility; the refund is made to the payment method used, after the product has been received and checked.
