Description
This kit contains compatible screws for the iPhone 7 Plus, in gold. They are used to secure the various parts of the phone, such as the inner chassis, the motherboard, the battery or the connectors. During a repair, screws are sometimes lost, damaged or have worn heads. Replacing these screws helps restore a stable fixing and reduces the risk of play or vibration in the casing.
Before you start, prepare a suitable screwdriver, preferably with a fine tip, along with a magnetic mat or a small container to sort the screws by location. Note or photograph their original position, as the lengths are not always identical. Work on a clean, well-lit surface and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface.
Once assembly is complete, check that each screw turns without forcing and that the phone shows no play. Then test the repaired components before closing the device completely. If the battery was replaced during the same job, carry out a few full charge cycles so the device returns to normal behaviour.
