Description
This IC chip, known as an antenna conversion switch, is a small integrated circuit placed on the circuit board of the iPhone 14 Plus device. It routes the signal between the different antennas so that radio communication stays stable depending on use. When it is faulty, you may notice loss of network, unstable reception or difficulties with certain wireless functions. This part is a compatible version, made by a third party, which lets you replace the current part at a lower cost.
Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery where possible. Work on a clean surface, with good lighting and a soldering station set to a moderate temperature. Protect the board from static electricity with an anti-static wrist strap or by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Rough handling can damage neighbouring tracks, so take your time.
After reassembly, check reception, the mobile network and wireless connections. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it only after checking there is no short circuit. For a lithium battery, do not puncture it, do not bend it and stop using any swollen cell.
