Description
This IC chip, known as the Antenna Switch Sky, is an integrated circuit that manages the routing of the radio signal between the antenna and the device's various communication modules. It directs cellular, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signals along the right path as needed. For the iPhone 14 Plus model, a fault in this chip can result in loss of network, unstable reception or an inability to connect to certain frequency bands.
Before you begin, take the time to prepare your workspace: a clean surface, an anti-static wrist strap or earthing to limit electrostatic discharge, and a magnifier or microscope to identify the chip properly. Disconnect the battery before any work, and never force ribbon cables or connectors. Moderate heat is enough for desoldering, avoiding any overheating of the board.
After fitting, check the operation carefully: test network reception, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, then recharge the device and let it run normally for a few hours before prolonged use.
