This IC chip, referenced U2000 and known as a power control chip, is an integrated circuit on the motherboard of iPhone 6S. It manages the distribution and regulation of the electrical current sent to the device's various components. When it fails, you may encounter boot problems, sudden shutdowns, improper charging or a device that no longer switches on. Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery where possible. Work on a clean, anti-static surface, ideally with an earthing wrist strap. Use a hot air station or a suitable iron at moderate heat, and avoid prolonged contact that could damage neighbouring tracks. After fitting, power on the device and observe its behaviour for several minutes. Carry out a few full charge cycles to check the stability of the power supply. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture or bend it.
