Description
This iPhone X IC chip is an integrated flash memory circuit, referenced 566A0 and marked U4100 on the board. It stores the device's system data, such as the firmware and certain settings, even when the device is switched off. When it is faulty, you often see the device fail to start, a screen stuck on the logo, errors at launch or data that no longer saves. This part is a compatible version made by a third party, not an original part.
Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery, then work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, with an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Identify the exact position of chip U4100 and note its orientation before desoldering. Moderate, controlled heat is enough; overheating can damage the neighbouring tracks. Handle the fitting parts carefully so the pins do not bend.
After fitting, check that the device starts correctly and that the affected functions respond. Then carry out a settings reset and check stability over several starts. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully, and never use a swollen, punctured or bent battery.
