Description
This Qualcomm IC (integrated circuit) chip is an electronic component designed for the motherboard of the iPhone X device. It performs a specific function of the circuit, such as power management, connectivity or certain signals, depending on its position on the board. When it fails, it can cause faults such as a device that no longer starts, no network, a black screen or intermittent malfunctions. This part is a compatible version made by a third party, offered as an economical solution for the repair.
Before starting, switch off the device and disconnect the battery. Work on a clean surface, in a dry, well-lit place, and protect yourself from static electricity with an anti-static wrist strap. Use a desoldering station or a hot-air gun at a moderate temperature so as not to damage the neighbouring tracks. Check the orientation of the chip carefully before placing it.
After fitting, check the alignment and the absence of short circuits before powering the device back on. If the device heats up abnormally, switch it off immediately. A swollen battery must never be used, and a lithium battery must neither be punctured nor bent.
